Since I am going to be asking friends and family to read my blog, I realized there may be some unfamiliar terms thrown around, so I thought I'd be nice and define them here! If I say something that makes you think, "uh, what?" let me know, I will be happy to add to this list.
Amigurumi- the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures.
LYS- Local Yarn Store (specifically sells yarn, not a craft store)
Frogging- completely taking apart your project. It is named as such because as you take off each row, you rip it, rip it, rip it (get it?)
gauge- how many stitches across and rows down it takes to create a 4" square. This is important when you want to make sure a project has certain measurements (and you usually do).
skein- This just describes a specific way yarn is wound up for sale or use.
unknitting/tinking back- a method of undoing each stitch, one at a time. This can be very time consuming.
